Re:Kimono

Re:Kimono — 歴物 — is an upcycle line using high-quality, unused kimono fabric selected from traditional textile houses as well as individual collectors. Each bolt is chosen for its pattern quality, texture, and character.

All bolts are individually sourced, cleaned, and handled before cutting. Professional tailoring ensures every garment is finished to a standard that exceeds mid-market benchmarks — not because it is a recycled product, but because it is a Fubutsushi product.

Because each garment is cut from a specific position in a specific bolt, no two pieces are identical. Pocket fabric placement, pattern orientation, and textile character will vary. This is the nature and the point.

A modern interpretation of the 半纏 hanten, redesigned with a hood and updated construction. Outer layer is yukata cotton — each jacket uses a different bolt, so no two jackets share the same pattern or placement. Inner lining is natural cotton or linen.

Wooden buttons. Two front patch pockets. Each jacket is made to order and photographed individually when complete.
