Aloha Style Shirt
Unused kimono silk reinterpreted into a relaxed open-collar shirt. Seasonal floral pattern. Calm drape.
衣服は素材から始まる
Garments shaped by kimono-derived fabrics, seasonal feeling, and a calm approach to design. Each piece begins with material. Not trend.
Limited Textile Runs
Each fabric exists in finite quantity. Production follows material availability, not scale.
Fabric-Led Design
Texture, weight, and structure guide the final form. The cloth comes first.
Made for Daily Use
Built to be worn comfortably in modern life. Not costume. Not occasion-only.
We work with importers, independent retailers, concept stores, and boutique buyers internationally. This site is designed to introduce our product families, material approach, and current range structure.
Current pieces are available through BeLocal Collection online and in our Kamakura store. Browse the full range, check availability, and order directly from the shop.
Fubutsushi takes its name from a Japanese idea: the small details that signal a change in season. Light, texture, objects, atmosphere. We apply this thinking to clothing.
Our work begins with fabric. Specifically, with Japanese textiles that carry their own histories. Kimono silk. Yukata cotton. Bolt fabric that would otherwise be unused or lost. 古き良きもの , the value held in things that carry time.
We do not reproduce traditional garments. We reinterpret the textile into forms that can be worn in everyday life. The silhouette changes. The material does not. This is what ものづくり means for us.
Production is intentionally limited. We do not scale beyond the available cloth. Each run ends when the fabric ends.

Each fabric exists in finite quantity. We do not reorder or scale beyond the available textile.
Design follows structure
Texture, weight, and drape guide the form. The garment is a result of the cloth, not an imposition on it.
Made to be worn
Not costume. Not occasion-only. Built for repeated wear and modern daily life.
Controlled, honest production
Some garments are made in Japan. Others combine Japanese textiles with international production. We are clear about both.
Garments made from kimono and yukata textile. Traditional bolt fabric reinterpreted into wearable everyday silhouettes. Available in silk and cotton across multiple model types.
Original print designs inspired by Japanese motifs, applied to everyday jersey and woven bases. Accessible entry point to the brand. Available year-round.
Garments using kinran fabric, a Japanese brocade woven with gold and metallic thread. Rare material, limited pieces. The highest expression of the textile-first approach.
Re:Kimono is structured across seven model groups. Each group uses Japanese textile as the primary material. Silk and cotton versions are offered within most groups. Detailed specs and fabric IDs will be available in the importer catalogue.
